Who Dares Wins put up another great performance finishing fifth and giving weight all round of 9lb and upwards to the four horses that finished in front of him in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham on Thursday 15 March.
Racing does not get much more exciting than when Wayne Hutchinson made what looked like a winning move between the last two hurdles with a brilliant piece of jockeyship getting up the inside with plenty of horse under him. See clip below.
However, as we had feared beforehand, the heavy deteriorating ground and the famous Cheltenham hill were to be his downfall. Our gallant horse jumped the last within a length of the principals, but found the uphill slog, giving weight away in that ground, just too much.
